Dorplan help to makeover ‘Ugliest building in London’

Dorplan help to makeover ‘Ugliest building in London’ by supplying over 1,700 doorsets

Colliers Wood Tower, aka The Brown and Root Tower, was voted as the ugliest tower in London in 2006 in a poll carried out by the BBC. However, it’s now undergoing major regeneration works, and Dorplan are elated to be playing a part it’s remarkable transformation. The 18-storey tower block is being completely renovated, with a new 6-storey building being added, which will result in new retail units and over 170 apartments.

Dorplan were selected to manufacture and supply the internal doors & ironmongery by the contractors JJ Rhatigan, due to our extensive product range, ability to successfully work on large-scale projects and iconic buildings, and our first-rate project management and scheduling skills. We manufactured and supplied doors with a variety of specifications, including multiple fire ratings and PAS24 configurations.

It’s been an honour to help transform such an iconic building, and we’re looking forward to seeing the end results.
